Master of Theological Studies

About the Programme

The programme is designed for students who seek to further their studies in theology and pastoral ministry. It is aimed to improve them academically so that they become competent pastors and/ or ministers of their churches.
The programme offers specialisation in five areas listed below.

Admission requirements

The normal requirement for admission to the programme shall be a good first degree in Theology or Religious Studies from Africa University or from a recognised institution of higher learning, equivalent to at least a second class BD Honours degree of Africa University.
Candidates wishing to pursue Biblical Studies must prove that they are proficient in the appropriate biblical language (Biblical Hebrew for Old Testament and Koine Greek for New Testament studies). Those who are not proficient in these languages will be required to take them concurrently with their Master’s degree.
