After Hours Emergency Services

There are trained sub wardens in each blockin the halls of residents who have first aid kits if need arises. There is a resident nurse practitioner who attends to emergency cases.

Bishop Alfred Norris Clinic is a “walk in” clinic for your convenience. Clients are seen by appointment for the doctor or other specialists through the referral channel.

The clinic provides Primary Health Care activities, such as health teaching, on health and wellness, health protection, health promotion and counselling.

All clients are advised to visit the clinic in the morning, if they are not feeling well to necessitate referrals to Specialists if need be.

Medical Practitioner’s consultation

Wednesday 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.

Only booked patients/clients and emergencies shall be attended to. All booked patients /clients should honour their appointment times.

Medical Insurance

It is compulsory for all students, to have a medical insurance hence why they pay the Student Health fee. Students who already have medical aid cover can fill a Medical Aid Exemption form and show proof that they are covered.

NB: All students MUST bring a student ID and a valid medical aid card when visiting the Bishop Alfred Norris Clinic.

Uses Health263 with an e-claiming feature for your convenience

Health 263 has biometric verification module that allows medical aid companies and service providers to verify clients using fingerprints.

Fraud, Waste & Abuse system that helps identify fraudulent claims in real-time from healthcare service providers to healthcare funders.

Chronic Disease Management including the application of rules and client formularies for medicines or other items as specified. This module also includes a disease capturing and results reporting section which makes provision for the addition and management of TB, HIV, and other communicable chronic illnesses.
