Professor Andrew Tichaenzana Manyawu is a highly experienced Academic Leader and Administrator. He is a Professor of Linguistics specializing in Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA). He holds several qualifications in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, including a PhD in Linguistics. Prof. Manyawu has worked in the tertiary and higher education sector for just over thirty years. He has served as a Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, External Examiner, Peer Reviewer, and Professor. He has also headed academic departments in various universities and been Executive Dean International and Alumni Relations. Prof. Manyawu is a prolific writer with over thirty publications in high-impact scholarly journals and books, but he is also an award-winning academic writer. He has a strong international profile, having studied and worked in various countries in Europe and Africa. Having begun his university career at Africa University as a junior Lecturer under the astute mentorship of such brilliant scholars as Prof. Pamela Machakanja, he now feels highly honored to be ‘back home’ to serve under the leadership of Vice Chancellor, Prof. P. Mageto.
