Biography

Christopher Munguma is a senior law lecturer at Africa University where he has been teaching since 2011. Christopher was admitted to practise law by the High Court of Zimbabwe in the year 2000. Christopher holds an LLB degree from the University of Zimbabwe, a post graduate diploma in higher education and a Master in Intellectual Property degree (MIP) from Africa University. Currently, Christopher is Doctor of Philosophy candidate in Intellectual Property at Africa University. Christopher has practised and taught Intellectual Property since 2014. His research interests are in the fields of geographical indications, enforcement of intellectual property, trademarks, constitutional law and Human rights. Professionally Christopher is a legal practitioner, conveyancer and Notary Public of the High Court of Zimbabwe. Before becoming a full time academic Christopher practised law as an in house counsel and legal counsel in private practice in Zimbabwe.
