The BSc Honours in Social Work will be a 4 year programme which will have 6 semesters of taught courses and 2 semesters of internship. A student will need a minimum of 480 credit hours to satisfy the requirements for graduation. The programme will be multidisciplinary in nature and will borrow selected courses from Psychology, Sociology and Counselling. The students will carry out independent research under the supervision of assigned lecturers.
Applicants will be selected on the basis of the following:
A minimum of 5 O levels including Mathematics and English.
Atleast 2 good A level passes with 2 points or better in relevant subject areas.

Graduates in the BSc (Hons) programme in Social Work will produce professionals who will work in a range of different settings, including direct practice, management, education, research and roles in industry. The social workers will be eligible for employment in positions such as: Social workers, Counsellors, Programme managers/officers in NGOs dealing with vulnerable populations and Child protection officers.
